Extension slates course for women marketing grain

Women in Ag is the agricultural business education program that empowers farm and ranch women who want to be more knowledgeable about their agricultural enterprises.

Greene County Extension and Outreach is making Women Marketing Grain available beginning Thursday, Nov. 2. This is an opportunity for women to collaborate with each other on topics of importance to their future in farming. Participants will develop a plan for marketing corn and soybeans. The registration deadline for this is Thursday, Oct. 26.

The sessions are four Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 11:30, beginning with a light breakfast at 8:15 before transitioning over to the morning’s topic. Sessions will be Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 23. They will be led by ISU Extension and Outreach program specialists and area agriculture experts and include hands-on exercises and an extensive workbook. Cost for the program is $75.
