Ram v’ball team ends home season with win over PCM

The Ram varsity volleyball ended its home season Oct. 10 with a win in four games over PCM. Game scores were 25-15, 25-18, 20-25, 25-12.

“After seniors put in four years for a sport, it’s nice to see them end their home season with a win. All of the seniors played well, contributing offensively and defensively,” coach Donna Carhill said. “The team as a whole served very well, with a 94 percent serve efficiency.”

“I was particularly pleased with the fact that when they were behind in the third game, they continued to play hard and didn’t give up. They carried that attitude into the fourth game and established themselves from the first serve in Game 4,” Carhill continued.

Chantel Flack served 20 for 20 with two aces and had 20 digs. Megan Durbin served 16 of 17, and had 19 kills and 29 digs. Sophia Havens served 24 for 25 with two aces. Samantha Hardaway had 11 kills and Aubrey Heupel had 35 assists.

Seniors on the team are Durbin, Hardaway, Flack, Kaitlin McColley and Ashley Millard.
