Esther Weaver started her 98th birthday on Saturday the same way she starts most days – with a work out at the Greene County Community Center, followed by coffee “out”.
Esther, who was born Aug. 12, 1919, has been a member at the community center since it opened in November 1998.
Included in the birthday celebrations was pie at the Uptown Café on Friday and brownies with lots of chocolate frosting on Saturday, according to her son-in-law Charlie Thompson.
Esther is the oldest regular patron at the community center. Her usual workout partner is Betty Johnson, whose age also starts with a 9.
