Winners told in Ding Dong Dash

The Ding Dong Dash, a Bell Tower Festival favorite hosted by the Jefferson park and recreation department, was dominated by persons younger than the festival, which was in its 37th edition.

The fastest time in the 5K race was 19:11, posted by Logan Egeland in the males ages 19-29 division. Second fastest time was Will Stevens’ 21:59. Stevens ran in the males ages 10 and younger division. Third best time was Blake Fagg’s 22:04. He ran in the 19-29 division.

Top two finishers in each division, in addition to those already named, were:

  • Females 10 and younger, Jenna Johnson, 42:33.
  • Males ages 11-14, Dakota Mobley, 23:48; Jacob Stevens, 25:17
  • Males ages 15-18, Parker Johnson, 24:13; Lincoln Miller, 25:00
  • Females ages 15-18, Taylor Wessling, 34:51; Emily Heupel, 36:04
  • Females ages 19-29, Emily Christensen, 27:39; Jessica Lestina, 28;02
  • Males ages 30-39, Tyler Hankel, 25:05; Adam Bayliss, 25:56
  • Females ages 30-39, Lisa Ebersole, 28:05; Jenny Mobley, 34:21
  • Males ages 40-49, Kirk Stevens, 27:26
  • Females ages 40-49, Patricia Jacob, 28:15; Jenny Wessling, 28:27
  • Males ages 50 and older, Curt Hoff, 25:26; Rod Jones, 25:31
  • Females ages 50 and older, Beth Adams, 30:39, Kate Neese, 31:06.

A total of 60 runners were in the 5K race.

Five persons ran in the 10K race. Their times were

  • Females ages 19-29, Ashley Bauer, 58:57
  • Males ages 30-39, Tyler Hostetler, 39:08
  • Males ages 40-49, Adam Hamblin, 53:45
