The public is invited to the Elks’ Flag Day ceremony Wednesday, June 14 at 7 pm at the lodge at 103 W. Harrison St in Jefferson.
The Elks will perform their prescribed Flag Day ritual. Also, Cade Silbaugh of Jefferson will read his essay on Americanism. Cade placed first in the local competition and third in the boys division of the Northwest district competition.
Lindsey Meyer of Panora placed first in the girls division in the local contest. She will also read her essay.
