Greene County district court, May 19-24

In Greene County district court Susan Houseman, 57, of Ogden was granted a deferred judgment after she pleaded guilty to a charge of prohibited activities, amended from fraudulent practice- second degree. A judgment was entered for a $315 civil penalty and $193.25 court costs. Houseman was placed on informal probation for one year. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)

Jamie Ray Alvarado, 22, of Grand Junction was sentenced to two years in prison after he changes his plea to guilty to a charge of driving while license barred. The prison term was suspended and he was placed on probation for two years. Alvarado was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. He must pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees to be determined and $100 court costs. A charge of possession of marijuana was dismissed. A charge in magistrate court of possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed as part of the plea agreement. Court costs in that case were $60. (Sentencing: Kester)

Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: James Michael Lefeber, 35, of Jefferson, burglary- first degree and sex abuse- third degree; and Noah Exline, 19, of Jefferson, lascivious acts with a child, sex abuse- second degree. A trial date was set for July 3 for Lefeber and for July 18 for Exline.

A case was initiated in district court against Amelia Marie Kennedy, 32, of Jefferson on a charge of assault causing serious injury.
