The Rams earned their state meet bids at a district meet in Denison May 11. First and second place finishers at district meets automatically qualified for the state meet. Remaining spots were filled by comparing finishes statewide.

Sophomore Janelle Brophy was first in the long jump with a leap of 15’ 8”. Senior Olivia Hansen finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.20 seconds, and the sprint medley relay composed of freshman Megan Doran, junior Megan Durbin, sophomore Melanie Doran and Hansen placed second with a time of 1:53.40.

Durbin, who was Class 3A state champion in the high jump, placed third in Denison. However, her jupm of 5’ 5” was high enough to get her to Drake Stadium.

The 4 X 100 relay of seniors Nick Schroeder and Chase Stoline, freshman Kolby Kafer and senior Logan Lansman placed third with a time of 44.50 seconds. They qualified at-large.
