RSVP of Greene County is partnering with Greene County employees and mayors in county towns to mark Mayor and County Recognition Day for National Service with a “kid-friendly” food drive.
All county residents are invited to join in the drive. Collection boxes are available now through May 5 at the county courthouse and at the city halls in Jefferson, Scranton, Rippey, Churdan and Paton.
Suggested “kid-friendly” items include canned pasta packaged with pop-off tops, pop-top or pouch tuna and chicken, microwaveable macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, instant oatmeal, individual serving boxed cereal, Rice Krispie treats, non-refrigerated pudding/Jello or fruit cups, individual servings of crackers, low-sugar juice drinks, and fruit and grain bars.
The items will be distributed by New Opportunities and the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center.
