Relay for Life salutes sponsors

ouWhile Relay for Life teams are raising funds for the American Cancer Society, another important part of the fundraising effort is garnering generous support by area businesses and organizations. Business and organizations around the county provide cash and in-kind sponsorships, as well as items for the silent auction.

“We always appreciate the sponsors who make monetary or in-kind donations,” said Relay for Life chair Peg Raney. “Their donations go into the fundraising total and they allow all the money raised by teams, the Scrabble 5K run/walk and other events that day to go to the American Cancer Society in its work to free the world of cancer.”

This year’s theme, “Relay for Life: A Game Changer” highlights the important patient services and life-saving research that is funded by Relay proceeds.
