Middle school girls track report

The Greene County middle school girls competed in the Gary Paulsen Relays in Ogden Monday, April 10. The Rams finished second with 114.5 points in a strong performance. Woodward-Granger was first with 155.5 points.

“We started the running events in good scoring position with our field events earning 40 points. The girls ran extremely well in very cold conditions,” commended Coach Teresa Green.

  • 100-meters – Maddie VanPelt 14.73, second
  • 200-meters – Makala Kafer 30.58, second
  • 400-meters – Maddie VanPelt 1:16.48, third
  • 800-meters – Sadie Wilson 2:58.94, second
  • 100-meter hurdles – Lillian Muir 18.60, first
  • 200-meter hurdles – Makala Kafer 32.79, first; Maddie VanPelt 35.10, third
  • 4×200 relay – Afton Funcke, Maddie Hayes, Kaydi Newby, Trista Gierstorf 2:28.44, sixth
  • 4×400 relay – Lillian Muir, Brianna Osterson, Sadie Wilson, Makala Kafer 5:05.14, second
