Highway 30 to close next week for construction

Highway 30 east of Grand Junction is slated close Tuesday, April 25, at 9 am to allow for construction of a new overpass over the Union Pacific railroad tracks.

The road will be closed between Highway 144 at the west edge of Grand Junction east to Highway 169 in Boone County.

The Department of Transportation’s posted detour routes traffic  on Highway 144 or Highway 169 north to County Road E-26. The DOT strongly recommends  that motorists use the posted detour as it is on paved roads.
