Middle schoolers take the stage Friday

A cast of 23 seventh and eighth graders will perform “Just Another High School Play” this Friday, March 31, at 7 pm at the Greene County High School auditorium.

The cast includes Avery Walker, Avery Bardole, Jackson Gerdes, Gabby Pollock, Clay Peters, Madison Hall, Sade Reedy, Brianna Osterson, Isaiah Hinote, Emma McColley, Robert Arnold and Kendall Fecher.

Also, Josey Weaver, Mallory Prescott, Lucy Dudley, Madison Truitt, Blake Kaufmann, Bailey Brown, Andrea Grundon, Hannah Curtis, Autumn Villegro, Gaige Butler and Ethan Long.

Directors are teachers Tammy Brophy and Sydney Cruz.

The play by Bryan Starchman tells the story of high school actors who didn’t show up for rehearsal and were abandoned by their directors on opening night. The student assistant director and the stage manager pass out random scripts to the cast and the students do their best to put on a performance.

The audience will recognize bits of Shakespeare, “Little Women,” “A Christmas Carol” and more.

All are invited to attend the play.
