Cooking class, soccer and track on the docket for JPRD

Young cooks are invited to learn new skills and how to make delicious and nutritious food at Chef 4 a Day at the Greene County Community Center. A dietician or chef from the Jefferson Hy-Vee will lead the fun class Tuesday and Thursday, March 14 and 16.

Children ages 6-7 will meet from 1 to 2 pm, and children ages 8-10 will meet from 2 to 3 pm. Class size is limited, so don’t delay registering.

JPRD is now taking registration for first-second grade soccer. The season will run from March 27 through May 27, with games beginning April 8. The registration deadline is March 19.

Practice schedules will be set by coaches and will be in Jefferson. Games will be in Jefferson and Ogden.

Mini track will be held March 28 through April 27 at Linduska Field at the Greene County High School football field.

Students in grades 3-6 will meet Tuesdays from 5:15 to 6 pm. Students in K-2 will meet Thursdays from 5:15 to 6 pm. The registration deadline is March 20.
