‘Get Connected!’ series ends with tips for job seekers

The third and final community gathering of the “Get Connected!” series will be held Monday, March 20, at Greene County Elementary School.

The session, “Work it!” is for anyone looking for a job in Greene County or some help writing or updating a resume.

The evening will begin with a free beefburger supper served from 6 to 6:30 pm in the school cafeteria.

Informative sessions will start at 6:30 pm. Representatives of AAI, Scranton Manufacturing, John Deere, Wild Rose Casino, Home State Bank and Jefferson Telecom will talk about their employment needs and current job openings.

Amber Casebeer of Iowa Workforce Development will offer sessions on resume tips and interview tips. She and Teresa Green, business teacher at Greene County High School, will also provide resume assistance.

Pat Heinrichs and Julie Neal of Greene County Schools and a representative of Scar Detassling will help with applications for area jobs. Applications will be available to fill out that evening or to take home.

Free childcare and activities for children ages 4-12 will be offered in the gymnasium from 6:30 to 8 pm.

All are welcome; there is no charge.
