Absentee voting for school election now open

Absentee voting for the Greene County Schools March 14 special election begins Monday, Feb. 27, at the county auditor’s office at the courthouse.

The  auditor’s office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Voters may request a ballot to be sent to them by filling out an absentee ballot request form that is available through the office.

Steve Fisher of rural Grand Junction and Matt Wetrich of Jefferson are running to fill a vacancy. That term expires in September 2019.
