The Paton-Churdan boys basketball team ended the season at 10-11 overall after losing in the first round of district play Thursday night to the Algona Golden Bears in Algona. The Rockets were ahead 14-11 after one quarter but trailed 28-23 at halftime, The Golden Bears scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter, putting the Rockets behind 44-27. The final score was 59-44.
Joe Towers scored 21 points, including three 3-point baskets. Chase Juergensen scored nine points with one long basket. Jake Berns scored eight, Tyler Miller scored four and Charlie Minnehan scored two points.
