A Marine unit in Fuji, Japan, received Christmas gift bags from Paton-Churdan art teacher Tami Minnehan, mother of Marine Sgt Daniel Minnehan.
Paton-Churdan students joined the project by making cards and writing letters to the Marines. The packages arrived Dec. 23, but Sgt Minnehan made his men and women wait until Christmas Day to open them.
Paton-Churdan preschoolers are also filling mail call for another P-C graduate, Marine Cullin Flinn.
