The Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation last week made a donation to the New Opportunities, Greene County Family Development Center for $10,000 to assist in meeting the basic needs of families in Greene County over the next year.
Funds will be prioritized for Easter and Thanksgiving food baskets, winter appeal and other basic needs for residents of Greene County. GGCGC requested that the purchases be made in Greene County.
Christy Anthofer, development director with New Opportunities, said the organization is very grateful for the support of the GGCGC to help serve the low-income persons of Greene County.
GGCGC’s mission is to positively grow Greene County for families and business to thrive. It is the hope of GGCGC that the donation will reach both families and business.
