Victim identified in fatal fire

Harley Moore

The child killed in a house fire this morning in Washington Township has been identified by relatives as Harley Moore, age 4, son of Tony and Amber Moore.

Jessica Goehring of Perry, first cousin to one of the Moore parents, has started a Gofundme page, reports The Perry News. Goehring named funeral expenses and the cost of replacing belongings as needs.

‘Harley “was a sweet boy and full of spunk and feistiness,” Goehring posted on the fundraising page.

Harley is the middle of three sons, between Zane and Aedon in age.

Goehring noted that clothing donations can be dropped off at the McCreary Community Building in Perry in the following sizes: for Zane, 10 slim pants, 10-12 shirt; Aedon, 3-6 months; Tony, 40 X 34 pants, 2XL shirt; and Amber, 20-22 pants, XL shirt.

The fire call was made at 8:22 this morning. Firefighters from Rippey, Perry, Grand Junction and Jefferson responded to  2488 337th St in the southeast corner of Greene County. Also responding were the Greene County sheriff’s office, Grand Junction rescue and Greene County Emergency Medical Services.
