‘Tree of Life’ donations to medical center oncology dept

tree-of-lifeThe Greene County Medical Center Foundation is once again celebrating the lives of those we have loved and lost by offering the “Tree of Life.” With a $25 gift, the loved one’s name will be attached to a special ornament and placed on the tree. All donations will go to the medical center’s oncology department for equipment purchases.

The “Tree of Life” will be on display in the medical center’s main floor lobby through Tuesday, Dec. 13. The next day, a special remembrance ceremony will take place at 4 pm in the medical center’s education center. Loved ones will be recognized and then ornaments will be given to the donor for use on a family tree. The ceremony will be followed by refreshments.

Foundation director Hollie Roberts said, “The Tree of Life is an opportunity to honor a loved one and give to a great cause at the same time.”

The $25 memorial gift can be sent to Roberts at the Greene County Medical Center Foundation, 1000 W. Lincoln Way, Jefferson, Iowa 50129. Please specify the name of your loved one so the name may be displayed on the ornament.

Forms are also available at the auxiliary’s Gift Garden at the medical center or from Roberts. For more information, call Roberts at 515-386-0108
