Paton-Churdan students and staff invite the community to a ceremony honoring area veterans Friday at 9 am in the school gymnasium. Students in all grades will participate.
American Legion Edward English Post 198 will serve a soup supper in the school cafeteria Friday from 5 to 7 pm. All are welcome.
All city, county and state offices will be closed. The Jefferson public library will be closed.
The Greene County Community Center and the Greene County Extension & Outreach office will be open for regular hours.
Students at Greene County Intermediate School will be on a school-wide field trip Friday. They will have a Veterans Day program Monday, Nov. 14, at 1:30 pm. Veterans are also invited to lunch at the school at noon; veterans are asked to RSVP to Heather Hadley at the school office, 515-738-5721.
