Greene County magistrate court, week ending July 22

In Greene County magistrate court cases were initiated recently as follows: Douglas Duane Owen of Farnhamville, interference with official acts; David Hoyle of Churdan, interference with official acts; and Margaret Jessica Ruth Wilson of Jefferson, possession of drug paraphernalia, and in a separate case, theft-fifth degree.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending July 22 as follows: Troy James Schwartz of Bayard, speed, $120; Kristi Lei Barlow of Des Moines, speed, $105; Niko Lee Rice of Paton, passing too near bridge, intersection or railroad, $100; *Edgar Perez Nunez of Scranton, failure to maintain control, $100; and Melisse Marie Schilling of Jefferson, unsafe backing on highway, $100.

Also, speed, $90 (16-20 mph over limit): *Jessica Lynn Christensen of Scranton.

Speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Daniel Thomas McKeehan and Clint Thomas Flack, both of Jefferson, and Lauren Elizabeth Bouas of Kansas City, MO.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Jered Allen Greene of Breda, Krista Mae Griffin and *Rachelle Rae Smith, both of Jefferson, Troy Lynn Paup of Churdan, Deonne Leah Robey of Paton, and Megan Ruth Ann Nickel of Theresa, WI.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Tonya Ann Bland of White Mills, KY, Vanessa Christine Vote of Grand Junction, Domanique Katherine Lhotka, Kelly Jo Schuler, and Josh Anthony Smith of Carroll, Nicholas Julian Lara of Fort Dodge, Kelly Rae Woerdehoff of Ankeny, Marissa Sue Hinners of Scranton, and Michael Lynn Schlicht of Ralston.

Failure to obey stop/yield sign, $100: Keith Allen Miner of Creston.

Failure to wear/maintain safety belt, $50: Ryan Lee Day of Jefferson and Norman Theron Renner of Adel.

Commercial motor vehicle violations: Robert Scott Borgeson of Jamaica, overweight axles by 3,300 lbs, $240; Phillip John Fiedler of Ankeny, failure to have load securement on Bobcat, $50; and James D Brown of Bismarck, ND, overweight axles by 6,450 lbs, $425, and overweight group axles by 2,150 lbs, $155;

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Ryan Michael Vaughn of Fort Dodge, speed, $90; Peggy June Straight of Grand Junction, failure to prove security agains financial liability, $250; Samantha Dolores Irving of Panora, failure to wear/maintain safety belt, $50; and Travis Austin Smith of Paton, failure to have valid license while operating, $200.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
