Plenty of winners at the county fair baby contest

The competition was friendly and prizes were plentiful at the baby contest held at the Greene County Fair Saturday.

Babies “competed” in two age divisions – younger than 1 year old and younger than 2 years old.

In the younger age group winners were: most hair, Ross Cotten of Madrid; least hair, Kasima Brant of Jefferson; cutest smile, Jensyn Kennedy of Ogden; biggest eyes, Lee Holz of Grand Junction; chubbiest cheeks, Wyatt Christensen of Scranton; and most resembles another family member, Teegan Ritter and Anthony Ritter of Jefferson.

In the older age group winners were: cutest smile and most attached to favorite object, Robert Tasler of Paton; most talkative, Neleh Olson of Churdan; most resembles another family member, Gretah Carlson of Jefferson; best outfit for the fair, Chelsea Stream of Churdan; and fastest walker when called by parent, Sophia Derry of Jefferson.

Winners of beef and pork certificates donated by the Greene County Cattlemen and the Greene County Pork Producers were Sophia Derry, Tristan Woodley, Valerie Giestorf, Hannah Curtis, Josey Weaver, Angie Healy and Anthony Ritter, all of Jefferson, Ashley Cotten of Madrid, and Ella Tasler of Paton.

Jensyn Kennedy and Robert Tasler each won $50 donated by United Bank of Churdan and Community State Bank of Paton. Home State Bank provided judges Danille Curtis and Hannah Stein.
