Nick Schroeder working on fifth undefeated season

The Jefferson swim team is 6-0 on the season with two meets left. . Wins came over Glidden, Denison and Coon Rapids at their pools and against Perry, Sac City, and Guthrie Center at home.

The score against Guthrie Center was on June 23 was 378-236.  Gabe Schroeder broke the 50 freestyle pool record by more than a second. The 9-10 boys relay teams of Cody Allen, Gavin Scheuermann, Nathan Ausberger, Jack Hansen and Preston Kennedy remained undefeated in the 100 medley relay and 100 freestyle relay.

The loss to Carroll was by a 332-303 score.  There were many outstanding performances on a night that saw a lot of fast times for both clubs.  Gabe Schroeder broke a 19-year-old butterfly record swimming the race in 17:15.

The 200 medley relay team of Megan Doran, Julia Saul, Sophie Havens, and Ellie Madson broke a 23-year-old record. The same quartet broke an 18-year-old pool record in the 200 freestyle relay.

Nick Schroeder remains undefeated on the season with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyle, backstroke, individual medley, and breaststroke. He is trying to complete his fifth season without a loss.
