Greene County district court, week ending June 10

In Greene County district court a charge against Ronnie Neal, 37, of Marshalltown of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed on a motion by Greene County attorney Nicola Martino. The dismissal was part of a plea agreement in a magistrate case in which Neal pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia. Costs in the district court case were assessed to the state. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Deann Marie Goff, 34, of Jefferson, forgery (two counts); Clay Thomas Paulson, 20, of Grand Junction, burglary- third degree and criminal mischief- first degree; Ryan James Brown, 43, of Jefferson, criminal mischief- second degree; Christina Marie Funke, 33, of Guthrie Center, operating while intoxicated (OWI)- first offense; Kole Higgins, 21, of Grand Junction, driving while license barred; and Daniel Blain Pierce, 43, of Colfax, theft- first degree and possession of stolen property. Trial dates were set for July 26 in every case except Paulson’s. His trial date was set for Aug. 23.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Zachery Allen Waters, 19, of Grand Junction, burglary- third degree; Ryan Douglas Bushore, 28, of Ames, ongoing criminal conduct, burglary- third degree, unauthorized use of credit card under $1,000 (eight counts) and identity theft under $1,000 (eight counts); Kimberly Ann Nelson, 38, of Jefferson, theft- fourth degree; Barbara Ann Sherman, 61, of Jamaica, OWI- third offense and child endangerment (three counts); Justin Ray Lopez, 28, of Jefferson, OWI- first offense; and Nicole Danielle Weese, 29, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana- first offense.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that  Chelsey Regan Phipps, 25, of Grand Junction has been charged with theft- fourth degree. The warrant was issued Feb. 10 and returned June 1.

Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Cynthia Louise Hobbs, 44, of Jefferson has been charged with ongoing criminal conduct, forgery (four counts), and identity theft over $1,000. The warrant was issued March 29 and returned June 9.
