Greene County High School sophomore Rachael Danielson finished in 18th place at the Class 4A Girls State Golf Tournament in Ames at the Coldwater Links Course.
“A top 20 finish was my goal and I’ve accomplished that. I’m looking for ways to improve my game,” said Danielson. After the first few holes the nerves went away and she settled into the routine of 18 hole rounds on consecutive days.
Danielson has never had lessons from a golf pro, but is considering that option, along with playing in some Junior tournaments this summer to improve her game.
