Greene County magistrate court, week ending Feb. 26

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered against Joseph Thomas Romeo II of Jefferson on a charge of assault-simple. He was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge. A charge of trespass was dismissed.

A judgment was entered against Patrick Douglas Doyle of Jefferson on a charge of theft-fifth degree. Doyle was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. He must pay $54.09 restitution.

A judgment was entered in magistrate court in a case initiated against Bridget Harnack of Jefferson on a charge of unauthorized use of a credit card. The charge was amended to theft-fifth degree. Harnack was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 LEI surcharge. Harnack must pay $48.66 restitution. Court costs were $100.

Court costs were $60 unless otherwise specified.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Feb. 26 as follows: *Beth Marie Carmichael of Perry, failure to maintain control, $100; *Mallory Anne Sorber of Jefferson, Phillip Rick Keys of Polk City and Christopher David James of Glidden, operation without registration card or plate, $50; Aluel Makuei Bior of Carroll, speed, $145; Tyler Joseph Hertrampf of Carroll, dark windows/windshield, $50; Joshua Albert Stewart of Callender, failure to display registration plate, $20; George Richard Bryant of Harcourt, failure to yield to vehicle on right, $100; and Christina Marie Mobley of Jefferson, operation without registration, $50.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Robert William Peters of Carroll.

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Jason Christopher Barck of Perry, James William Friel III of Carroll, Corey Justin Scheuermann Thompson of Jamaica, and Hyacinth Marie Lappe of Panora.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Jeffery Lee Ostendorf, Trista Jo Murphy and, Charles Lee Silbaugh, all of Jefferson, Colby Robert Peacock of Paton, Michael Robert Barrett of Fonda, Cynthia Suzanne Janning of Carroll, and Laurie Ann Nieland of Auburn.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Michael David Husar of Grand Junction, failure to wear/maintain safety belt, $50; Jordan Edward Kajewski of Carroll, failure to maintain control, $100; Michael Brian McCarl of Pleasant Hill, failure to yield to vehicle on right, $100; Bonnie Mae Grunwald of Glidden, improper brake light, $30

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
