The ecumenical Lenten Luncheon series begins Ash Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the St Joseph Parish Center in Jefferson.
Each Wednesday during Lent one Jefferson church serves a light lunch from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm, followed by a devotional program from 12:15 to 12:45. The programs are typically led by lay members of the host church.
There is a $5 charge for the meal, and no charge for those who are able to arrive only in time for the devotions.
The schedule for the coming weeks follows: Feb. 17, Central Christian Church; Feb. 24, Gospel Open Bible Church; March 2, Trinity Lutheran Church; March 9, First Presbyterian Church; and March 16, First United Methodist Church.
