JPRD planning cooking classes and a dance

Youngsters who want to do something special this Friday, a day with no school, can spend some time learning to cook at the Greene County Community Center.

Staff from Hy-Vee will lead the class as children prepare nutritious, kid-friendly food. Children ages 6-7 will meet at 1 pm and children ages 8-10 will meet at 2 pm

Class size is limited; pre-registrations are requested. There is a $5 charge.

The very popular Daddy Daughter Dance is slated for Friday, Feb . 19, with the music starting at 6 pm at the Greene County Community Center. Young ladies in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to bring their favorite gent – a father, grandfather, or father figure for an almost-princess evening.

Music will be provided by Musical Edge Sound & Lighting Design, and Morgan Fredrickson Photography will be available for photos.

The charge is $20 per couple, or $25 for a gentleman with two dates. The program has filled in recent years, so early registration is suggested.

For more information, call JPRD at 515-386-3412 or visit the Greene County Community Center. Click here for registration forms and the complete winter-spring program book.
