Rippey Lions: The regular meeting of the Rippey Lions Club will be Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church with a meal served by Phyllis Bardole and DeeAnn Thompson for the Ladies Aid. Further discussion of the Bike Ride to Rippey plans will be part of the meeting. The program will be presented by John Mills.

REMINDER: When Greene County Schools close because of the weather, so does the Rippey public library.

January programs: Check with the library for dates and times. Minions movie; sock snowman craft, bingo, coloring contest, possible beginning genealogy if there’s interest.

Rippey library board of trustees will have its regular meeting Monday, Jan. 25, at 6 pm in the library.

News in and around Rippey: Dale and Nancy Hanaman visited with Sarah and Benji Pearson, Steven, Elizabeth and Andrea in Wisconsin to celebrate their granddaughter Elizabeth’s 12th birthday. Others who gathered for ice cream and cake Sunday afternoon included Matthew Hanaman, Adrianna and Adyara of Rice Lake, WI, and Fred an Lynn Pearson of Superior, WI.
