Prairie Blue planning Holiday Shop of local art

Prairie Blue invites all local artists/artisans to participate in a Holiday Shop.

All items must be original and created by the artist; prints are accepted. All hand-crafted items will be considered, including needlework or knitting.

“We are encouraging folks to shop locally for the holidays. Prairie Blue is committed to supporting the creative arts in our community and we are happy to provide a store front for local artists/artisans to offer their goods,” said Nicole Bennett Tuel, director of Prairie Blue Creative Arts.

As a proponent of local foods, Bennett Tuel is also working with farmers market vendors to have some of their products available and information about local CSAs and growers. Just A Mere Farm will have its “natural pork” for sale (including holiday hams) along with goats milk soaps.

Each participant will have his or her own designated display space. Participants are asked to sign up for at least one shift hosting the shop, or make a $35 donation to Prairie Blue. Pricing shall include all sales tax; no commission will be collected by Prairie Blue.

The shop will have regular hours and open just after Thanksgiving. For more information, or to participate, email: prairiebluecreativearts@gmail.com
