News in and around Rippey:

Michael and Jill Borgeson and Jace Johnson hosted a birthday dinner for their son and brother Seth on Sunday, Aug. 16.  Some of Seth’s favorite people who were able to attend were his grandparents Mark Rose of Perry, Sharon and Chuck Patton of Perry and Jean Borgeson of Rippey; his aunt and uncle Kim and Lem Darr, Tanner and Zack of Perry, and his uncles Alan Borgeson and Kale of Rippey and Robert Borgeson of Jamaica. After eating the traditional pizza, cake and ice cream, Seth opened his cards and presents. Seth will be 7 on Aug. 21.

Earlier in the week, Seth and Kale spent a day at Grandma Jean’s.  Needless to say, by the time the boys (and Grandma) finished exploring the muddy creek, we all needed hosed down! Kane took time to watch and take pictures. These moments, as rare as they are getting to be, are treasured in this grandma’s life. “I’m grateful I can still get down and dirty to look at the world through the eyes of little boys,” Jean said.
