News in and around Rippey:

Jason and Allison Bardole, Levi, Kate, and Chase arrived Friday, July 31, to visit in the home of Roy and Phyllis Bardole.  Pete, Yvette, Arthur, Avery and Aden arrived home from a quick vacation to Kansas City about the time they arrived. Tim, Lori, Schyler, Cassie, and Gabe stayed for supper.

Saturday several family members were over.  After a quick noon meal, Yvette, Allison, Kate, and Phyllis went into the church for a shower for Lauren King, bride-elect of Schyler Bardole. It was a fun afternoon. In the afternoon, the “guys” cut down a tree, and the boys had fun riding the go-cart.

Sunday morning, the THUG group told about its mission trip.  Arthur Bardole was one of the members.  The family ate lunch together with whoever was available. Later in the afternoon, the older ones went over to Boone to play paint-ball. There were a few welts to show for the time spent.  Yvette took Aden, Levi, and Kate to the pool in Jefferson and Jason and Allison joined them later.  Several family members helped eat leftovers Saturday night. They said good-bye to Jason and family as they were heading back home on Monday.  It was a fun weekend, but there is never have time to get everything done. They were suffering with the heat and humidity since they are dry up there and the temperature has not been above 90 degrees.  Their lawn is brown, unlike Roy’s which has to be mowed every week.
