Paton-Churdan senior Jake Carey placed 21st in the boys 1A 400 meter race at the State Track and Field Meet Friday at Drake Stadium in Des Moines. His time was :53.26.
The winning time was :48.47 posted by Brett Prenger of Lawton-Bronson.
