Briella McDonald a finalist in National American Miss state pageant

Briella McDonald, 5-year-old daughter of Marty and Angelina McDonald of Scranton, has been chosen as a state finalist in the National American Miss Iowa pageant to be held May 2 – 3 in Waterloo. The National American Miss pageants are held for girls ages 4 – 18 and have five different age divisions. Briella will compete in the Princess age division.

Briella enjoys horseback riding, swimming, four-wheeling with her big brother Harley, and skating. She also likes to help her Grandpa Dale and Uncle Dusty with cattle chores and playing with her little sister Jerzee, and cousin Talon. She is the granddaughter of Dale McDonald of Scranton, Jeff Ford, and Jodee and Mike Glover of Churdan. 

The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, official crown and banner, roses and air transportation to compete in the National Pageant in California. The National American Miss pageants are dedicated to celebrating America’s future leaders and equipping them with life-long skills.
