Greene County magistrate court, week ending Jan. 30

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Jan. 28 against Kimberly Marie Smith of Jefferson on a charge of assault. She was fined $100 with a $35 surcharge. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed. Court costs were $60.

A judgment was entered against Trinity Glen Welch of Grand Junction on a charge of public intoxication. He was sentenced to time served, with a $48 sheriff’s fee for that time. The minimum fine was suspended. A charge of interference with official acts was dismissed. Court costs were $60.

A judgment for a $100 fine with a $35 surcharge was entered against Rachel Nicole Glover of Rippey on a charge of interference with official acts. Court costs were $60.

Cases were initiated in magistrate court during the week ending Jan. 30 as follows: Russell Lee Gardner of Panora, obstruction of emergency communication; and Michael Alexander Carlson of Jefferson, trespass.

Persons paid fines for scheduled traffic violations during the week ending Jan. 30 as follows: Brian Francis Tiffany of Jefferson, speed, $60; Logan Tyler Hanson of Hampton, operation without registration, $50; Abigail Janine Badger of Bagley, passing contrary to lane markings, $100; *Courtney Lynn Johnson of Rippey, failure to maintain control, $100; and John Rain Finneseth of Jefferson, operation of motor vehicle with expired license, $50.

Also, speed, $80 (11-15 mph over limit): Noelle Marie Gray of Jefferson

Speed, $40 (6-10 over): Tyrone J. Wilson of Harvey, IL, *Tiphanie Mari Chokrallah of Elgin, SC, *Ronnie Ray Hill of Des Moines, *Tia Marie Nieland of Auburn, and *Eugene Ross Gochenour of Mondamin.

Speed, $20 (1-5 over): Jason Edward Adams of Monrovia, MD and *Donald Bryner Jonathan of Wyoming, MN.

Failure to stop/yield as posted, $100: Dawn Marie Linder of Ankeny.

Judgments were entered against individuals for nonpayment of scheduled fines as follows (original fine listed): Bethani Ann Franzen of Spirit Lake, dark window/windshield, $50; Edilsar Avim Curado Melendrez of Glidden and Tami Lynn Breheny of Jefferson, speed, $80; Devon Bradley King of Bagley, speed, $20; Beverly Jean Moore of Churdan, allowing unauthorized person to drive, $200; and Ray L. Stanton of Scranton, failure to have security against financial liability, $250.

The judgment includes a penalty of one-half the original fine and surcharge.

Court costs were $60 on each citation unless otherwise noted.
