Greene County engineer Wade Weiss is in the succession path for to be president of the Iowa County Engineers Association. He told the board of supervisors Monday that he has been elected as secretary of the organization for the coming year. He will be vice president in 2016 and president in 2017.

He has also been nominated by the Iowa association for  the National Association of County Engineers’ Rural Engineer of the Year Award. “We’ll see where that goes,” he said about the nomination.
