Polling hours, locations told for Nov. 4 election

VoteGreene County auditor and commissioner of elections Jane Heun reminds county residents that polls will be open next Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 7 am to 9 pm for voting in the general election.

Precincts and polling sites are as follows:

  • Central – Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds, 601 E. Lincoln Way, Jefferson
  • East – St Brigid Parish Center, 602 Hager St, Grand Junction
  • Jefferson 1 – Courthouse, south assembly room, 114 N. Chestnut St, Jefferson
  • Jefferson 2 – Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 801 W. Lincoln Way, Jefferson
  • Jefferson 3 – Greene County Community Center, 204 W. Harrison St, Jefferson
  • North – Churdan Community Center, 401 Sand St, Churdan
  • West – Scranton city hall, 900 Eagle St, Scranton

All voters will vote for all statewide and countywide races. All voters except those in the city of Churdan will vote on the renewal of a local option sales and service tax (LOSST) in their respective jurisdiction. Voters in Paton will also select a mayor and a city council member.

Voters can vote by absentee ballot at the county auditor’s office Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The office will also be open Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 am to 5 pm for absentee voting.
