Ballot boxThe Greene County auditor’s office will be open for voter registration and absentee/early voting Saturday, Oct. 25, from 8 am to 5 pm for voter registration and absentee/early voting for the Nov. 4 general election.

October 25 is the last day to pre-register to be eligible to vote on Nov. 4. However, Iowa law now permits Election Day registration.

The auditor’s office will also be open Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 am to 5 pm for the purpose of voting an absentee ballot for the November election.

Absentee ballots for the general election may be cast at the auditor’s office in the Greene County courthouse in Jefferson through Nov. 3  or by mail.  Absentee ballots mailed must be postmarked by Nov. 3 at midnight.
