Out of drought… but still abnormally dry

Generous rainfall in the past several weeks has moved most of Iowa, including Greene County, out of drought conditions as of June 24.

Volunteer weather observer John Beltz reports that from June 1 to through 6 am Friday, June 27, Jefferson has received 5.73 inches of rain. Average June rainfall is about 5 inches.
