The Greene County Middle School band followed a long tradition of celebrating the last day of school at Bunker’s Dunkers. The band marches from the school to the bakery, where Randy and Phyllis Bunker treat them to donuts.
During the years the kindergarten classrooms were at the south grade school, just south across the parking lot from the middle school, the kindergartners paraded with the band, flashing smiles and waving bands. Now the children and staff of the Greene County Early Learning Center celebrate with the band.
Randy and Phyllis Bunker honored band director Marty Brenden with a Bunker’s Dunkers T-shirt in recognition of the last day of his teaching career.
